Andres, I tried to follow your instructions to get dmesg, but it didn't reach any sort of usable state after resuming from hibernation, and either that, or the hard shutdown I had to do while it was locked up, broke X spectacularly. I've now repaired X (took a few hours, and using my dual boot Windows to search the web), but I'm not keen to try that again. Let me know if you still need that information (I still do see the problem, as far as I'm aware), and I'll try collecting it using sleep instead.
