Hi Gabriel, I've not really been able to sort out this crash. Are you still experiencing it? If so, would you mind testing to see if it is still occurring in Jaunty (ISOs available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/jaunty/). If it does, then I think we should forward the bug upstream for further analysis.
The crash seems to be happening in the Xtrans stuff, rather than in X itself, so it makes me wonder whether this is a bug in that layer, or if the X server is just calling into it incorrectly.
