I was affected - pidgin portable on winXP downloaded msn-pecan from homepage, extracted libmsn-pecan.dll from installer using 7zip, copied it to PidginPortable\App\Pidgin\plugins directory, edited each of my accounts and changed protocol from MSN to WLM.
