As far as KDE goes, I couldn't get that to work right using the latest KUbuntu. There were some knetworking packages that I could have updated, but those depended on a lot of other packages. I didn't want to get Jaunty stuff and Intrepid stuff too intertwined, so I left it alone...
It's interesting that it doesn't work for you rmcd -- as we are using the same setup for the server side (WPA2, PEAPv0 and MSCHAPv2.) Are you sure you are using the correct certificate? I would try it without providing a certificate file in the gui. To clear out any certificate files that might be listed, you have to network manager and delete the encrypted wireless association. If that still doesn't work -- I suspect its a driver issue...
