Because problem was clearly related to use of external keyboard, I've tried to replace my old keyboard with another one and now it seems that problem disappeared (both keyboards are connected via USB). I'm pretty sure that problem occurred immediately after upgrading Hardy to Intrepid but it can be coincidence - implausible but possible. I'm leaving this issue opened but you can close it if you want.
