@bojo: This is not a good solution, because sleep.d scripts should accepts some command line arguments - see /usr/share/doc/pm- utils/HOWTO.hooks .
A good solution would be to write a script that does the hdparm-thingy and respects the pm-utils semantics. I created one, it is attached. Copy it to /usr/lib/pm-utils/sleep.d/95hdparm-apm , chmod +x and chown root:root it. For me it works flawlessly. Dear Steve Langasek: This bug isn't fixed until this script (or something similar) is included in pm-utils. ** Attachment added: "/usr/lib/pm-utils/sleep.d/95hdparm-apm" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/21210580/95hdparm-apm -- High frequency of load/unload cycles on some hard disks may shorten lifetime https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/59695 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
