is there an extension that handles images? maybe nuke anything or Image Zoom, both which i've used. I'm on GNOME 2.16.1, Firefox 2.0 on a x86 (intel system) and I see you have a x86 (AMD) system. What desktop environment and version? I'd delete one, try to reproduce the bug, and report the bug to the extension author.
