Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: vino

If I use vinagre to operate a remote computer running vino, the remote
computer's display never 'goes to sleep', ie although the screen blanker
kicks in, the backlight is never turned of. However, if I use the
keyboard or mouse on the remote computer, it will put the display to
sleep as per the power management preferences.

The remote computer in question is running the ATI driver.

Version information for the remote computer:

ubuntu: 8.10, kernel 2.6.27-11
vino: 2.24.1-0ubuntu1
xserver-xorg-video-ati 1:6.9.0+git20081003.f9826a56-0ubuntu2.1

** Affects: vino (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
