Public bug reported: ffnet "is a fast and easy-to-use feed-forward neural network training solution for python". It is the most mature, stable, flexible, and well- maintained neural network package for Python developers that I've found. I've come across only one other serious solution for using neural networks from Python, libfann (already debianized) which appeared sorely lacking in documentation and overall friendliness.
URL: http://ffnet.sourceforge.net/ License: GPL Installation and Building Notes: I'm new to debianizing packages, or I'd try to tackle this myself. The install uses a standard distutils setup.py. The dependencies are python (>= 2.4 ?), python-dev, python-numpy, python-matplotlib, python-networkx, and gfortran (there is some fortran code included which the build needs to compile into a shared library). I recommend building the latest code from SVN. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: needs-packaging ** Tags added: needs-packaging -- needs-packaging ffnet https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/317741 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
