** Description changed: Binary package hint: hotkey-setup On my T61p, the brightness keys do pop up the brightness scrollbar and scroll it properly. Unfortunately, the brightness of the laptop display is _not_ affected. The T61p has an nvidia Quadro FX 570M, and I have yet to find a way to turn the brightness up or down once booted into Linux (usually, the screen is at full brightness, but if I boot the laptop when it's unplugged, the screen is very dark and there doesn't seem to be a way to brighten it up without shutting the machine off. + + [lspci] + 00:00.0 Host bridge [0600]: Intel Corporation Mobile PM965/GM965/GL960 Memory Controller Hub [8086:2a00] (rev 0c) + Subsystem: Lenovo Lenovo Thinkpad T61 [17aa:20b1] + 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: nVidia Corporation Quadro FX 570M [10de:040c] (rev a1) (prog-if 00 [VGA]) + Subsystem: Lenovo Unknown device [17aa:20d9]
