I got this bug with the 8.10 Live CD on my desktop rig (Intel E6850 on an ASUS P5N-D, using the on-board sound). Don't get this on any of my other Intrepid installations (one x86 on a Fujitsu notebook, one amd64 on a Acer notebook).
