@lcampagn, well, I don't see an IRQ conflict in the /proc/interrupts file.  
Have you found you have the same issue with Intrepid or Jaunty?  Keyboard 
handling switched to the -evdev driver in Intrepid, so it would be good for you 
to retest.  If you can reproduce the issue in Jaunty, we can forward it 
upstream.

@ethan, bithive, and jon, from the description of your symptoms and
steps to reproduce, it really sounds like you have a separate issue.  In
Intrepid there were a number of changes to how hotkeys work, so I'd
guess you got hit by something with that.
