** Description changed: Ubuntu 8.10 I can reproduce it always with following steps: 1. Mouse (standard USB mouse) works ok. 2. I plug it out from laptop (i.e. from USB socket), and after a second plug it again. 3. Now mouse accelerates way too fast, I hard to use it. 4. But it is sufficient to open System->Preferences->Mouse window (only open it) it gets fixed. + [lspci] + 00:00.0 Host bridge [0600]: Intel Corporation Mobile PM965/GM965/GL960 Memory Controller Hub [8086:2a00] (rev 03) + Subsystem: Elitegroup Computer Systems Device [1019:9037] + 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:2a02] (rev 03) + Subsystem: Elitegroup Computer Systems Device [1019:9037]
