  I can reproduce it always with following steps:
  1. Mouse (standard USB mouse) works ok.
  2. I plug it out from laptop (i.e. from USB socket), and after a second plug 
it again.
  3. Now mouse accelerates way too fast, I hard to use it.
  4. But it is sufficient to open System->Preferences->Mouse window (only open 
it) it gets fixed.
