Public bug reported: Binary package hint: grub2
Legacy grub contained a very useful routine 'map <drive1> <drive2>' which is missing from Grub2. A functioning patch has been committed http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html /grub-devel/2008-08/msg00375.html The patch needs interested developers to clean-up for Grub2 coding standards before it can be committed upstream.
