Another bump for this issue in 8.04. Under compiz *all* rendering is corrupted, video, OpenGL and regular compiz effects. It's as if the screen is split along the diagonal from the top left to bottom right and only one half of the screen on either side of this diagonal updates on any given painting of the screen. This causes a diagonal tear when, for example, dragging windows. For OpenGL and video the effect is more pronounced due the side not being rendered being blanked rather, this results in a terrible flicker.
