Thank you, gsimonita, for your fast reply. Ubuntu 8.04 should be good
enough to test this because it shipps the same version of firefox as
Ubuntu 8.10.
I am closing this bug due to your last comment regarding this being is
mostly solved. Please reopen it if it is getting worse. To reopen the
bug report you can click on the current status, under the Status column,
and change the Status back to "New". Thanks again!
