Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

I am using Ubuntu 8.04 with all current updates, Open Office 2.4.1. and
Evolution 2.22.3.1. Evolution 1:2.4.1-lubuntu 2.1 was installed by the
synaptic package manager to provide evolution address support for
OpenOffice.org. The Evolution Database, according to the instructions
cannot be modified, but it can be queried with filters and also
reported. The query and table wizard processes allow sorting
information input but the results are not sorted. I did create a sample
database and everything worked fine, including the sorting.

To reproduce this problem:

        1. Create an address book with a number of entries in the Evolution
application.
        2. Then in the Open Office database application 'connect to an
existing' 'Evolution local' database.
At this point the address book database table has been created.
        4. Create a query with an alphabetic sort and a filter.
Although the sort has been requested, it does no occur.
The filters work on some columns (for example categories,
home_phone, etc) and not others (file_as, addr_line1, etc.)
        5. Create a report: dynamic & static.
                Static report:
can be sorted by selecting the columns and doing a
table sort.
it cannot be updated even though the the query it is
based on has changed.
                Dynamic report:
                        can not be sorted.
can be updated to new information from the Evolution
Database by running the query that it is based on and then running the report.

** Affects: openoffice.org (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
