The bug is affecting me too, after the upgrade to Intrepid. I had no problems 
before.
The boot is hanging about 1 minute on "configuring network interfaces" and is 
not possible to interrupt the procedure.
I attach the dmesg logs. The hanging is visible after about 22 seconds in the 
file timestamp.

My system is: Linux nittux 2.6.27-11-generic #1 SMP Thu Jan 15 11:42:36 UTC 
2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux
On a HP pavilion dv6915nr laptop
