The bug is affecting me too, after the upgrade to Intrepid. I had no problems before. The boot is hanging about 1 minute on "configuring network interfaces" and is not possible to interrupt the procedure. I attach the dmesg logs. The hanging is visible after about 22 seconds in the file timestamp.
