** Description changed: I got Intrepid on a acer 2310. Everything worked perfectly with intrepid until I had to do a clean install of the intrepid. After that this annoying thing happens. If I leave the computer the screensaver starts to activate as scheduled. After a while the screen gets black just as it used to but this time it is impossible to wake the computer. I try the touchpad, different keystrokes and power button. Nothing help. It seems like the computer work as the fan for the cpu starts to blow but I get nothing on the screen. I have to do a hard boot to make it work again. + + There seems to be several layers of "sleepiness" 1. The screen saver + kicks in. The computer can be put back to service 2. The black screen is + shown The computer can be awaken 3. Real hard black screen kicks in + Computer is impossible to wake.
