This happens to me too with Herd 1 of Feisty Fawn on a Dell Dimension 9200c desktop with an Intel G965 chipset and a DVD/CDROM Drive: _NEC DVD+-RW ND-6650A.
After being dropped to the Busy Box shell, I see the following messages: /bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off ata2: port failed to respond (30 secs, Status 0x80) ata2: COMRESET failed (device not ready) ata2.00 failed to set xfermode (err_mask=0x101) Note: I am able to boot from the Dapper Live CD on the same computer, but I had a similar problem with the Edgy Live CD. I was hoping Feisty Fawn was going to work. -- Live CD fails to boot, stops when detecting ata https://launchpad.net/bugs/75306 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
