Hi Brian, I did what you said both with and without the first 2 lines in my interfaces file and also with and without changing managed=false to true in my nm-system-settings.conf file, but still nothing. When my interfaces is like it is now (file attached) and managed set to false it says device is unmanaged when I click on my network app.
