Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: cups

CUPS has an exceptionally useful feature whereby a CUPS server can
announce its printers onto the network, allowing clients to JustWork
with them, without requiring selection or installation of PPDs, or
anything else. It also has the added benefit that laptops don't need to
have dozens of static printer declarations, they will just show the
printers they can actually see in their current location.

Are there any security reasons why we would not enable this by default?
If no, please can we do so?

** Affects: cups (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
