I did not have to remove the ehci module. My box is in the basement while I'm sitting one floor above with a screen and USB devices (keyboard, mouse, DVD burner, card reader). The USB cable is 5m long, but I use two powered USB hubs, which used to work just fine for about 2.5 years. The perfect noiseless computer. :-) I'm not aware of any USB 1.x device.... or maybe my Palm Tungsten C cradle is USB 1.0 (about 5 years old)? The new kernel just came out yesterday (2.6.27.11). Should I upgrade? Nothing to loose I guess... ** Attachment added: "lspci-vvnn.log.tar.gz" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/21796505/lspci-vvnn.log.tar.gz -- ehci_hcd module causes I/O errors in USB 2.0 devices https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/88746 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
