No, I never formated or repartitioned it. I will tell you one thing though, I have tried this MP3 player with fresh install of Hardy and never mounts, but that only happens I believe in 32 bit Hardy, I once did a fresh install of Hardy 64 bit and tested the MP3 player and it did automount.
Ok the output of sudo fdisk -l /dev/sdb is the following: -------------------------------------------------------------------- j...@ghubuntu:~$ sudo fdisk -l /dev/sdb Note: sector size is 2048 (not 512) Disk /dev/sdb: 3841 MB, 3841982464 bytes 1 heads, 62 sectors/track, 30257 cylinders Units = cylinders of 62 * 2048 = 126976 bytes Disk identifier: 0x00000000 Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sdb1 1 69273667 4294967294 ff BBT Partition 1 does not end on cylinder boundary. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- And yes i can mount it as /dev/sdb1 but only as root and the way I described above: sudo mount -t vfat -o iocharset=utf8,umask=0000,user /dev/sdb1 /media /(mount-point) If I just do sudo mount /dev/sdb1 it gives me mount: can't find /dev/sdb1 in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab -- Sony Walkman NWZ-A816 not recognized so not mounted. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/303894 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
