Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox-3.0
I am using Ubuntu 9.04, but the bug was already consistent in earlier versions. I am also using Firefox version. 3.0.5. If you use the zoom feature of Firefox to zoom into web pages and you also zoom into the pictures, they become pixelated. You can see every single pixel because Firefox doesn't smooth the pictures when zooming. But: Firefox smooths the pictures when you use the drag-and-drop feature. During the drag, either Firefox or Gnome smooths the pictures. Since this behavior is strange and not how I expect it to work, I think it is a bug. A about:config option to define the smoothing method would be helpful and appropriate for all (even slower) systems.
