Just wanted to confirm that I had this problem for the first time this
morning.

I'm running Intrepid, totally up to date. It started swapping on my
computer, making it completely unusable.

Note that I have an encrypted disk, so when things start going wrong,
they go really slow!

Anyway, attached the output from 
$ grep iwl3945 /var/log/syslog > iwl3945.log
