Adding cryptsetup task - still not knowing what's causing it.
pierce has confirmed the problem btw.
And I've noticed that when the cryptsetup prompt for the root partition
shows up, the moving usplash progress meter stops (while it keeps going
from left to right and back again in the old 2.6.27 kernel (and
initramfs!?) that works for me).
