Public bug reported:

Jaunty.

I have a new latitude E6400 laptop. The sound becomes jerky when compiz
does animations (it sometimes happens when mini/maximizing windows, and
every time I activate the scale plugin).

The video chip is Intel 4500HD.

Also in windows the audio is kerky (more frequently than ubuntu, so I
don't know if the problem is the same) until you install the intel
matrix storage application & driver. (which is a SATA driver &
application)
