I enabled compiz for 10 minutes and i didn't see the distortion this
time.... as you see in the screenshot that i uploaded, the "affected"
region of that distortion is not any region, is the region where the
mail messages are (in evolution mail client). so i think that may be is
some sort of refresh issue that occurs when you call the application
window, say you roll it down or un-minimize it. Having compiz enabled, i
see instead of that distortion, in that region i see the window lying in
the back, that quickly refresh and shows the message list.... another
thing i noticed is that when you roll up and down many times, the effect
is not present, may be because it caches the application in the RAM, but
when you stop working with that app and start fooling arround with other
stuff and bo back to evolution and roll it down, it appears again, may
be it is only a "cache" or RAM thing... don't know if i made myself
clear, sorry for the english. Im running a 32bit version of Intrepid in
a Presario F730US with nVidia Go6100 video card with the recommended
restricted driver installed and working.

Hope it helps,
