I have this problem and can't find how I would take care of it. Each time I start Firefox, I receive the message, "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nslStringBundle.formatStringFromName]". The preceding dialog doesn't suggest how one might go about removing the obnoxious message pop-up. Yet, other than having to deal with the pop-up, whatever the underlying cause is seems not to have any harmful effects on the operation of Firefox.
Here's the Firefox I'm using: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008121621 Ubuntu/8.04 (hardy) Firefox/3.0.5 -- Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR:FAILURE) nslStringBundle.formatStringFromNameComponent returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR:FAILURE) nslStringBundle.formatStringFromName https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/197070 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
