Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager-pptp

Ubuntu Version: 8.10

To reproduce:

1.) Click on Network-manager-applet, go to VPN Connections > Configure VPN
2.) Create a new VPN connection. Go to the advanced configuration and select
"Use point-to-point encryption".
3.) Now, if you save and close the configuration, the VPN connection WILL work
using point-to-point encryption.
4.) However, if you open up the configuration dialogue again, and go the
advanced configuration, you will notice that "Use point-to-point encryption" is
unchecked. If you were to save the connection without making any changes,
point-to-point encryption would be disabled. I discovered this bug because
after I had set up my VPN connection, I had to make some changes to the basic
configuration. After I saved, the VPN connection failed because the
configuration GUI did not remember that point-to-point encryption is enabled.

** Affects: network-manager-pptp (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
