As mentioned in the original report, I have fixed my USB automount issue by modifying the file.
I was raising the issue because, since I had not manually added that file myself I assumed it must have been added as part of a package or distribution upgrade. As there seem to be a number of threads on the forums related to USB automounting I felt this issue may be relevant to others. Is there any way to view the history of the HAL and gparted packages (since I assume the file must at one stage have belonged to one of them) in order to determine where the file came from? If it is something that was introduced to work around an issue that has since been fixed elsewhere, it should have been removed as part of the package upgrade that fixed the issue, right? -- [Intrepid] USB automount broken by hal gparted policy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/324845 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
