Thank you for your quick response. You wrote: > May be you can have a look there and see if there is a problem there.
I'm not a developer, I'm just triaging bug reports, so I think that I'd be unable to extract useful information by means of looking at those file! I just want to understand if "update-manager" is the right package for this report so that a developer can start to deal with your problem! Honestly, I don't think that this is the appropriate place for your report, maybe "Synaptic" is the best choice, since you set the username and password for the proxy in Synaptic Package Manager -> Settings. For this reason I'm going to move this report to "synaptic" package. Thanks for taking the time to make Ubuntu better! ** Changed in: synaptic (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: update-manager => synaptic -- Update manager cant handle proxy authentication with dots in login name [8.10] https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/318469 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
