I skipped trying to install Firefox2 and installed Ubuntu 8.10 while keeping the /home partition from my previous install on 8.04.1. That didn't help Firefox at all. It's still unusable, has no bookmars, keeps no history (e.g. "back" button doesn't work). Could it be that FF app doesn't have rights to write to a local user profile?
