Geir, I'd love to help, but I can't reproduce this bug on demand. It has only happened once for me so far in fact. I had a look at the PPA so that I can provided better reports next time, but those packages sounded a little bleeding edge for me to put on a work machine. Sorry.
I will enable ssh on my machine though, so I can attempt to log in and do a backtrace remotely if it happens again. (Switching to the the ttys with Ctrl+Alt+n wasn't working) -- Xorg crashed coming out of screensaver - log shows "[mi] EQ overflowing.
