Public bug reported:

I'm sorry...this is just too complicated. I have just newly installed
Ubuntu 8.10 (second or third time no problem) Everything was fine until
I downloaded the updates. I got the following:

E: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.27-11-generic: subprocess post-installation
script returned error exit status 139
E: linux-restricted-modules-generic: dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
E: linux-generic: dependency problems - leaving unconfigured

Now when I put an address in the adress line I get:

ASSERT: *** Search: _installLocation: engine has no file!
Stack Trace:
0:ENSURE_WARN(false,_installLocation: engine has no file!,2147500037)

I am planning on making a new Ubuntu disk and reinstalling.
