I can confirm this also applies to other motherboards using the AD2000
Analog Devices audio codec (which is, according to the information from
Robbat2's LiveJournal, the same as the AD1989B). I've verified the same
on both the P5Q-E and the M3A79-T deluxe.

I saw these patches listed in the changelog for kernel 2.6.28 when the
final release was made, however as of kernel 2.6.28-7 in Jaunty Alpha 4
the digital output still isn't enabled. Perhaps an updated ALSA package
is also required to get it working?

Is there other information we can provide to determine the cause?
