Binary package hint: asymptote
when installing asymptote via apt-get or synaptic, it insists on tetex and
wants to remove texlive, although latter is an optional dependency. only
aptitude lets one keep texlive, while reporting an error.
this might be the case for other packages too. tried some randomly,
installation of ivritex went similarly.
