Public bug reported: hi. i just installed alpha 4 of jaunty and selected dvorak as my keymap during the installation process and rebooted when the installation completed. dvorak is now set as default under X, but in a virtual terminal, the keymap is US.
the problem may be that when i run the following on my intrepid partition sudo grep -R "dvorak" /oldroot/etc/. i get (among others) these lines: ./vga/libvga.config:# kbd_keymap /etc/vga/dvorak-us.keymap ./vga/dvorak-us.keymap:# Physical keyboard layout: /usr/lib/kbd/keytables/dvorak.map.gz but they are missing when i do the same in jaunty. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: hi. i just installed alpha 4 of jaunty and selected dvorak as my keymap during the installation process and rebooted when the installation completed. dvorak is now set as default under X, but in a virtual terminal, the keymap is US. - the problem may be that when i run the following + the problem may be that when i run the following on my intrepid + partition sudo grep -R "dvorak" /oldroot/etc/. i get (among others) these lines: ./vga/libvga.config:# kbd_keymap /etc/vga/dvorak-us.keymap ./vga/dvorak-us.keymap:# Physical keyboard layout: /usr/lib/kbd/keytables/dvorak.map.gz but they are missing when i do the same in jaunty. -- after installation keymap in virtual terminals not set https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/328429 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
