Public bug reported: One of the last updates has broken my audio. When Ubuntu 8.10 boots up I get a period of white noise. As the boot up continue the noise stops. If I do the System>Sound Preferences>Device and then click the [test] I get the same white noise. The same when System>Sound>Sounds>Login I get the same white noise.
Both the PulseAudio Sound Server and ALSA - Advanced Linux Sound Architecture produce the white noise. I have had the sound to work with Ubuntu 8.10 for awhile, but about 3 or 4 updates ago it was broken by the update. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- audio broken with update https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/330335 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
