Yes, América/Guayaquil is the right timezone for Quito and should be
more than enough.

I remember seeing Guayaquil and not Quito when installing GNU/Linux and
having the feeling that Quito should be there, but I have to agree with
Martin's comment regarding the size of a city and how known it is in the
outside world.

Guayaquil is by far the biggest city in the country, and although I love
Quito and would like to see it in the map, I think we should keep a
global view in this issue and just leave things as they are.

Quito is the capital. Guayaquil is the biggest city, Galapagos need no
introduction. One nation, 2 timezones, no need to have a third point of
reference.

I'd like to see this bug closed or changed into a KDE bug?
