@Eros I tested with your attached file with version 1:2.0.1-1ubuntu1 in intrepid, but could not make it crash. Do you do anything in particular to get it to crash? Do you have the file-view or one of the other views open? And which encoding is kile set to be using in settings>editor>open/save?
