I am seeing this with mythbuntu 8.10 (updates current). Turning off usplash does not fix it. The thread at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1072196 describes what I was initially seeing. Since then I have used the nvidia 180 driver package with the same result: blank desktop (specifically it's a completely blank screen) and I can't switch to the command prompt (alt+f2). It's simply not responding. I set xorg to have the nvidia logo appear, and that isn't happening. -- Ubuntu freezes on boot (NVidia Driver?) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/325577 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
