Hi guys I think I'm experiencing the same bug.
About 15-30 seconds after inserting my DWL-G650+ card the machine freezes and the CAPS Lock light starts blinking. I am running 8.10 with all updates including proposed and backports and still getting the same issue. uname - r returns: "2.6.27-12-generic" (NB I'm passing nosmp to the kernel at boot to workaround another bug causing system freezes there are several numbers for this (e.g #22643), I don't believe this is related as if I put up with the other bug and test inserting the card I still get the crash and flashing CAPS lock, but mentioning it for completeness) I've attached an lspci listing obtained after the card is inserted (in the 30 seconds or so before the machine crashes) I will attach kern.log and dmesg logs below.
