Well. I think that hdparm -B 128 is a too low value... This is the problem!
I've set it to 200 and now I don't have an infinite number of head parking as before! you have to edit the files named 90-hdparm.sh in the directories and replace 128 with 200 /etc/acpi/ac.d/ /etc/acpi/start.d/ /etc/acpi/battery.d/ /etc/acpi/resume.d/ Then insert and remove the AC adapter and wait to see if the head parks a lot again (I really don't understand why there are 4 duplicate files... They could be symlinks...) -- High frequency of load/unload cycles on some hard disks may shorten lifetime https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/59695 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
