Joachim: if you have an nVidia card, you can search for "nvidia-glx" in
Synaptic, and look at the installed version number there. However, I
doubt that this problem has to do with the driver version, after all. Do
you also have a Dell laptop?

I've also noticed that the problem doesn't seem to be related to
hibernation, as I thought first. It's just that I usually hibernate and
resume once per day. However, I've noticed that it (at least usually)
happens when the daily updatedb is run.
