Hi, I replaced my Sony laptop (because of a hardware failure - not Kubuntu), so I can't help with this problem any more.
I'm now running Intrepid on an Acer Aspire and it works fine. But it doesn't have an ATI Radeon graphics card, so I wouldn't expect to see the same problem. Regards, Steve H.
