Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics
MacBook rev3 1. Start up from the live CD, choosing the "Try Ubuntu" option. 2. When logged in, try to move the pointer using the trackpad. What happens: Nothing. The pointer doesn't move, and the button doesn't work either. (Test for the button: Use Alt+Fn+F1 to open the Applications menu. Clicking the trackpad button should cause the menu to close, but it doesn't.) An identical bug was fixed during the Intrepid cycle, bug 257975.
