Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox
Summary: rhythmbox should offer the possibility of moving audio files to the Library directory when they are imported, just like it does with audio files ripped from a CD. Rationale: * The current name "import file/directory" is misleading, because files are not imported into the library directory, they are just listed in the database. * Rythmbox already has options to specify how files are stored in the library directory. * The lack of this feature forces the user to organize the files by hand, writing onto the library directory and trying to mimic this organization * This feature would be very useful, as it would allow us to reorganize the music library whenever we want: i.e move all files from the library somewhere else, empty the library, import. The music is organized! ** Affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Move music files on import https://launchpad.net/bugs/76600 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
