Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openoffice.org-writer
I am typing an essay in french and when a word I typed lacks an accent, the french spell check asks me to correct it so I right click on the word to correct it but the accents come out wrong and it seems like a completely different character has been created! Some characters work for me like the accent on the e or the u but the two dots on top of the e for example doesn't come out as what it is supposed to be! de...@deniz-laptop:~$ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 8.10 Release: 8.10 de...@deniz-laptop:~$ de...@deniz-laptop:~$ apt-cache policy openoffice.org-writer openoffice.org-writer: Installed: 1:2.4.1-11ubuntu2.1 Candidate: 1:2.4.1-11ubuntu2.1 Version table: *** 1:2.4.1-11ubuntu2.1 0 500 http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com intrepid-updates/main Packages 500 http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com intrepid-security/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 1:2.4.1-11ubuntu2 0 500 http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/main Packages de...@deniz-laptop:~$ ** Affects: openoffice.org (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Some symbols in openoffice.org-writer come out wrong! https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/333547 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
